About Us

Who are We?

North Yorkshire Minis are a group of mini enthusiasts and owners who organize events throughout the Yorkshire region. Over the years, we have organized a few different events and evolved into our current club, North Yorkshire Minis.

We are a club of clubs really. Our members and event attendees are members of many clubs throughout the north of England. Our events bring these clubs together along with other mini owners to create a great weekend based around classic minis and their owners.

Currently we organize two weekend events during the summer show season, located in the North Yorkshire Moors region. These events are at different times of the year to fit in with other shows and events. Our events are usually based around driving your classic mini, on some spectacular roads and then relaxing with fellow owners during the evening.

The 'Mini Adventure Weekend' is our event in the month of June each year. This 3 day event offers the best of classic mini driving, beautiful surroundings, camping with fellow enthusiasts, live entertainment, raffles, competitions and more. A typical event would include a treasure hunt competition.....a day driving around the wonderful Yorkshire moors, looking for clues and answering questions, the winner (most correct answers and back before cut off time) receives a prize. We also do the mini adventure run, which is organized for the Sunday and we try to get all cars to participate. The sight of 100 or so minis scattered across the skyline as far as you can see is amazing. During the weekend, we carry out raffles and competitions. The evenings are based on a social atmosphere, suitable for all including children, live entertainment from the live band & all the different clubs mixing and mingling together. We have our own field area inside the campsite, which is flat and open but sheltered by surrounding trees, it provides an excellent venue for our event. Over recent years, we have had members of the general campsite ask to join in our event and of course they can. Last year, we had members of the public attend the campsite on the same weekend just so they could join and of course see all the classic minis.
